The basic basis of PRAYER!

Hi guys,

It's been rather quiet as of late (or of very late) here recently, so decided to make some movement. ;) Would just like to share some thoughts on prayer that I've gotten over the weekend.

Firstly, I believe for those of us who were in Sunday service, we must all have raised both hands and legs when Pst asked who were born-worriers. It's so true for many of us: yes we know we are the head and not the tail, yes we know we are called to win in life, yes we know the blessings of God are reserved for those who love Him; yet why are we still worrying so much? Like what we all got out of CGM, the reason lies in having only the truth as a partial revelation in our lives. How true it is, that knowing head-knowledge truth versus spirit-based revelation will dictate how much we allow success and breakthru into our lives!

We live at a mediocre level because the truth merely exists in our heads, but has never really travelled and remained in our spirit as a full-blown revelation. When a disease becomes full-blown in a city as an epidemic, you realise everyone goes into frenzy mode. Same goes, when a revelation has taken a full-blown effect on you, it will be revealed in the way you live. No longer will we excuse ourselves from attempting the seemingly-impossible, no longer will our attitude be peppered with the 'here-i-am-send-him-instead' notion; but we will throw ourselves at doing the very thing that can be possible only with God.

When there is revival in a school, in someone's life, you realise there will be a buzz in the air, things are being done, and talk becomes action. It's no longer about 'why' we need to be the initiators of revival, its 'what' can we do today specifically for revival to happen. And how can we receive our full-blown revelation? The answer lies in prayer, that saturates us with the thoughts of Christ and allowing us to take on His sense.

I've always believed there is great potential in this dream team of E348. I mean, just look at it, how happening and influential can we get? ;) Yes, I'm also claiming that upon ourselves. But, no matter how talented and influential we are, without prayer, we lose the most basic weapon of every Christian. Samson was a man of great talents and abilities, yet he allowed circumstances to shave off his hair. We can be the most united cg, the hippest and coolest people around, but yet if we allow God and prayer to drop to any other position besides no.1 in our lives, revival will not happen.

Pst has prophesised that the remaining of 2007 will be a season of harvest and growth. I really believe that word is for us, but a team is only as strong as its weakest link. We all need to work together as a team. I understand that we all have our other stuff to be concerned with, especially when school resumes, but lets be most aware of our primary calling unto God. Let's build a greater capacity and strength to do the works of revival, and have a full revelation of what we are called to. Remember that the level of revelation for success will increase over time, proportionally to how much you are willing to engage in prayer and cook up a storm in the spiritual wok of life! =)

How much we are able to proclaim that 2007 has been a victorious year lies in how much of a prayer warrior we are, and how little of a complainer we are. Yes, we face our circumstances, but who ever succeeded by focussing on stress and worry? The one who will have the loudest cry of victory at the end of 2007 is the one whose eyes are set on the Lord, and whose actions can thus be filled with faith. It's for the one whose hands are tied to the sword, for the one who understands there is no turning back, for the one with the despite-all attitude. Can you be that person? ;)

Assuredly i say to all of you,

without prayer,

i am nothing.

i wont have what i have, the 4 key areas; knowledge, relational, spiritual and material.

Since material happens to be very sucessful now, i will speak abit about it ;)

i prayed for my car. i prayed for my family's investments. Next question is how often i prayed over my family? Answer is everyday!! No matter how busy i am, before i sleep, i will pray over the well being of my family. Yes its almost the same prayer every night, starting with my Father, mother, then elder sister, then younger sister, then someone, then myself and then the investments, i do it everynight, cus i know and i know and i know and know and know and know the POWER of my prayer ;> It may be of the same prayer everynight, but i dedicate every day to my Lord. I lift my family every single day to my Lord and i always start with thanksgiving for the past, present and future.

I hope that helped ^^

Sharing a piece of my life,
Joseph
