Time to be a REFLECTOR...
Hi guys, as we come to year end soon in a month's time, just felt that this is something we would want to think about as a cg...so read on if you are part of this amazing family called...E348. ;)
We've been talking about what we want to put our hands to the plow to achieve as individuals in the upcoming month before 2007 whizzes pass us. Probably we have those one or two things that we need to catch up on, then let's really be ON THE BALL to bring them from the realm of talk to the realm of action. Dreams will remain something existent in our sleep until the point when we have the revelation that NOW IS THE TIME to DO something about it.
Anyhow, let's also take some time aside to think of how we started out as E348, how relationships were built and nurtured over time. Remember how we all used to press into each other's lives instead of waiting for others to ask us how we were? Remember how we were of ONE HEART and ONE MIND to 'conquer' each and every friend that joined us? Remember how it was not just a few, but the rallying strength of the WHOLE group of us that stirred up the fire of revival, turning E348 into a place where we all wanted to serve and make a difference?
I'm glad that we have grown as one body. Iron sharpens iron, and we are all imperfect beings. Sometimes we just want to sing "Sorry, can't be perfect" by Simple Plan to the people around us. Yet, amidst our imperfections, God has always been so on time with us.
I believe we have all been trying hard to grow the cg, to rise up and lead. In the past few months, perhaps try as we may, yet things seem to reside in stagnation, in a horizontally-headed growth chart. But one thing that I've always been counting on is that God is a God of surprises, He will show up JUST ON TIME for those who have been sowing.
Just want to challenge different groups of us...1)
Uni Students: I totally understand what you think and feel, although I don't say it. Trust me, I've been there as a uni student only yesterday (haha!). Sometimes as uni students, we tell ourselves that the older people grow, the more mature and set in their beliefs they are. If they do not show any signs of wanting to come to church, let's leave them just as they are. Yes, we want to follow the cultural mandate and be relevant, but people do need the Lord still. The only way for them to know God may be through the radicalized you, if you TAKE ACTION. C'mon guys, it is possible, if only we would be less caught up with our plans and focus on the plans of God. You are all VERY INFLUENTIAL people, sow this seed today.
2)
Graduated Students: Yes you A and O Levelers! I always believe in leaving a legacy behind in your school. More than just graduating with a nice cert at the end, what else can people in TPJC and GMSS remember you for? Trust me girls, there is ALOT of potential in your hands. Cia, you have one whole lot of friends already ready for the harvest, don't lose sight of that! And Val, there is a reason why you were in such a position of influence in your school Choir. Use these opportunities well.
3)
Students still schooling: If you haven't already started, it's time to use this holidays to introduce Christ into your marketplace! When school is on, people were busy. Now that people are slightly freeR, it all boils down to how much you dare to make it happen!
4)
NS guys: Army is a place of make or break. You guys have been faithful, remember that your plans will be established if your sight is fixed on doing the will of God in your marketplace. It may be difficult, but I just feel that we can all remember what B.Darren has shared before, that he can stand proud before God and say that every single person in his platoon (hope I got the term right) has at least heard the gospel. May that encourage you to keep the faith.
*I know this is a long post, but if you will miss anything, don't miss the individual comments to the various groups. I REALLY believe we can do it together, if we rally around to make our revival call speak loud this December. Let's go for it.*Cheers,
Zoe
