Challenged
Hi guys! Here to add some life to our blog before it grows mouldy!
haha well they say a good message should be preached twice thrice and as many times to the people who need to hear it right?? hahhaa
I especially like the phrase "if the shoe fits, wear it"!
anyway last sat we were very blessed to have Bro D preach such a great message to us and my heart goes out to those who couldnt be there to hear it! haha well but i'll probably be sharing it during bs with my girls this week so I decided to add in my two cents worth here!
haha you know whats the most scary part about sharing the same message? I'm scared that I dun do justice to it and to the original preacher!
haha so yes heres a disclaimer: its not just about the word... it was the spirit behind the word and the presence of God during cgm that cannot be replicated here!
So guys... get the hint. We really want bro D to come back to preach again this saturday because our friends need to hear the word! and its not exactly the same if you think you can share it with them another day if they dun come, because this saturday is going to be a miracle if we can make it happen! The breakthrough in the spirit is going to be sucha blessing to our whole cellgroup. Its time we move up the next level!! We've been hovering at the same place (number) wayy too long!
I guess one of the things that spoke to me the most was holy discouragement.
How did Elisha get the double anointing??
2 Kings 2:1-17
He had to make a decision to move forward..just like how our Christian walk is progressive...
From Gilgal, to Bethel, to Jericho and finally he had to cross the Jordon
But the main question is why did Elijah ask Elisha to stay where he was??
You see, sometimes God gives us circumstances and conditions to discourage us from moving on... only to challenge, test us! Do we want to stay in our comfort zone or do we really have a passion for God? Will we keep on following him even if our prayers dun seem to be answered? Do we still really really want the breakthrough when we are comfortable where we are?
Elisha chose to follow. No matter what.
v17:
Finally, when they came to the Jordon, there were some men standing at the distance. But Elisha stayed with Elijah, and when Elijah parted the sea, they crossed together on dry grounds.
The Jordon speaks of separation, crossing the line. Crossing the line means stepping into the unknown, the dangerous. It might mean leaving your comfort zone, your friends behind. But at the same time, it is a step to your double anointing.
I think in this season of reaping the harvest... the devil is not just going to sit back and do nothing.. especially when he knows the potential that lies within our friends, and at the same time, we might be experiencing a lot of holy discouragement..(haha with all the rejections by our friends >.< arghhh.) But lets all remember the picture of daddy God and us mowing the lawn! He's in control!
Cheers,

Well said Jamie! You are an asset to E348, I dunno what we will be like without you!
I'm sure you caught the vision, gal! Thanks for sharing your heart. Yes, you truly are indispensible to us.
To Jamie and the rest of us: I know you guys are all giving your best shot to make the challenge happen. =) It can be disheartening especially when all our super potential friends cannot make it this week specifically, but let's look on with our spiritual eyes: something is happening in the spiritual realm! Let's claim upon our breakthrough!
E348, you guys are truly the dream team...I'm really very blessed to lead you peeps. Show the world what is called the E348 spirit yea?!
Cheers! =)
